Bike wreck

Bear with me on typos and "texting" short cuts ... i'm typin lefty.

Basically got run off a bike trail by a couple reckless racers... flew over handle bars .. broke right collarbone and scapula. Appears the scapula will require surgery and some hardware.

So work columns and promo schedule a little uncertain until surgery is booked and completed. Thinking about having a character in the next project fall off his horse and have to deal with the physical trauma.That will make this experience seem like useful research!

    Thanks for the well-wishes, Marc. In these times, when a by-line goes missing from the paper for a while, that's a valid suspicion! I should be back by mid-week, but I'm still typing lefty for a while.

    Dave! I'm so sorry to hear about your crash. What a bum way to finish the summer. We had our monthly book club meeting on Tuesday night and the raves were still coming both about Guernica and about what a great guy you are and how much your visit to our group was appreciated. Take care.

    Thanks so much. And thank your club. I had a great time visiting with them. The book club activity has picked up quite a bit with the paperback release. But it's been tough to keep up with everything as I try to heal up from a crazy surgery.

    One of life's little speed bumps, I guess.

    Take care and thanks for checking in here. I need to do a better job of updating. We have a couple events coming up in October (some are listed on the "events" page, and some I haven't updated yet). I'll get to those when I'm typing with all 10 fingers.

    I can only imagine how tough it is typing with one hand. Take it easy and when you are back to ten fingers we'll be interested to hear about the new book in the works.
